What are the benefits?

Freeview's digital signal offers a much greater clarity of sound and picture than the analogue signal, as well as greatly increasing your TV channel options. Despite all of this it does not require any sort of contract, monthly fee or satellite dish.

The signal can be received through a standard rooftop aerial- all that is required is a simple digital adapter or set top box which allows your existing television to receive the digital signals. This can be supplied and fitted for a one-off payment.

You can also purchase an integrated digital TV which has a built in digital adapter. Once you are set up to receive Freeview, there really is no more to pay!

What problems might be encountered?

Freeview offers coverage for around 78% of the UK, therefore most UK homes fall within the coverage area. Unfortunatley, some homes may find themselves unable to pick up the signal due to their location or position.

If you do lie within the coverage area and yet are still experiencing poor digital reception, you may need to have your aerial installation checked. We can arrange an aerial survey and appropriate upgrade if required.

What channels are available?

Freeview provide over 40 digital tv channels including BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, BBC4, BBC HD, ITV1, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, Channel 4, E4, More4, Film4, Five, QVC, Price Drop TV, Sky News, CBBC and TMF, plus many others.

There are also 24 digital radio channels available, including all of the BBC radio channels, Kerrang, Magic FM, Heat Radio, Smash Hits and Q.
